Room Expansion and Addition

Skyroom

Hello fellow PICOfreaks! Thank you all so much following us! We really do appreciate your comments and your friendly visits! We try our best to keep you guys entertained and also to be there when we can. :B

Expand and Add Rooms

Today I am posting about the new features!
Room expansion and Room additions!
How exciting right?

You can make your room bigger than the original.

This feature is not available on PIGG.

1. Adding A Room
You can add a room by going to your Edit Room or
You can add a room by clicking on the grey arrow
Which will turn orange once you purchase a new room.
Default room size is 8x8.

Addition

When you add a room, only with Ameba gold, you will see one of the squares on the room module next to the navigation compass light up. You can either go to the room with the orange arrow, or use the room module to move around to each area.
Room Module
Once entering you will notice that ROOM1 and ROOM2 share the wallpaper and flooring.

What is nice is, PICO has allowed us to use our wallpaper for all the rooms. :D

Here is my second room:
Enter and Exit
It is a simple 8x8 squares room. When they say 8x8 you can fit approx 8x8 squares along the sides. So 12x12 and 16x16 follow accordingly. I have also noticed that you can fill each room with 300 items! This means you don't need to share the 300 item limit for all the rooms. *yay* I have also noticed that if you have pets, they appear in ALL THE ROOMS. So make sure to not double, feed them!

Further, the only disappointing thing is you still can only have 300 items in your inventory in total. I hope someday we can have more.

2. Expanding a Room

Expansion

When you expand a room, make sure you are IN THE ROOM that you want to make bigger. Note you can use GUMMIES or AMEBA GOLD. You can always downsize if you aren't happy, but you lose the amount you spent on the expansion. Also remember all the items you put in there, go back to your inventory if you downsize.

12x12

I have used Ay.s as an example room for expanding.
Above the 12x12 you can see the 8x8
Below is the 16x16 it is HUGE!

16X16

I personally find the 16x16 TOO BIG! But I may need it someday in the future for a party? Yes? Haha XD PICOfreaks headquarters!

Well thank you all again for reading our blog. Feel free to donate anything to us to help us promote the PICOfreaks cause! If you also have a room you'd like to promote feel free to contact us with a PICO name and we will investigate it. Maybe the room will be featured on our blog?!?!? WOO!!! Hope to meet you soon!

Have EXPANDED and ADDED PICOadventures!
xoxo

Aurora-tan's Matsuri!

Konnichiwa
my PICOfreaks! Have you been traveling to Japan in PICO?

Since it's summer, it's time for a matsuri! A matsuri is a type of local festival in Japan. It's a nice break from the hot day to go and celebrate with tons of fried food, fun carnival games, fireworks, and dancing! Grab your festival clothes and let's celebrate!

You can find the matsuri event on your Travel Screen!

The thing to wear in matsuri is the yukata! They're like lightweight kimonos! You can also buy happis (they make you happy!) from Shigeo-san at the matsuri.

What a cute pond! Shame I can't try to catch balloons for free!

There are so many different pattern yukatas at Shigeo-san's shop! Be prepared to part with hard-earned PICO gold! The best thing in the shop however, is the Japanese Bon dance! With this dance, you can properly dance during matsuri!

New wigs! I want to try them on!

The most noticeable thing at the matsuri is the giant yagura they built in the middle! According to tradition, you are supposed to dance around the yagura! Atop of the yagura you can see a very spirited taiko drum player! He's very loud!

That's a very tall yagura! Hello up there~

The taiko drum player reminded me of my brother, Gio-tan, who also plays taiko! Matsuri brought on so many nostalgic feelings for me.

Do you see the family resemblance?

I decided to dance around the yagura clock-wise facing away. Direction is very important when dancing. Some fun things to shout while dancing are: "a doshita!" ''a sore!'' "a yoisho!," and "sate!"

This dance is so cute!
I would love to see many Pico's dancing in a line.

While Shigeo-san's goods were mostly in PICO gold, there is a RO8O shop that sells sparklers for gummies! They come in different colors and are very pretty.

*sizzle*
A race against time!

There's a fun game in Japan where you race with friends to see whose sparkler lasts the longest. I like to make as wishes as I can on my sprinkler before it goes out. If I reach 20 wishes, then they all come true!

Aw shoot! Maybe next time.

After awhile, the matsuri winds down and becomes very quiet. Even though there weren't any fireworks at this matsuri, I had a lovely time gazing at the stars under the paper lanterns.

It's so romantic . . .

I hope all of you have fantastic fun at this summer's matsuri! I did! Be sure to collect cute souvenirs.

Oyasumi nasai!
(goodnight!)

I Am Error: The Time Out Edition (UPDATED)

Hi! I'm Catmid's sister, EC. :D Next to me is my associate Kootie! She's my right hand turtle when things go horribly wrong!

You may have noticed from time to time there are updates and major lag times. things don't load, letters don't go through, pages stall and etc. What do you do when that happens? The most recent issue is the TIME OUT error.

The first thing I usually do is be aware of what is going on. Report things to AMEBA PICO when you can. LINK: http://pico.ameba.net/contact/

Next... Look at your loading page. Does any of the buttons work? I like to click everything and then note what happens. I noticed since I can not see my room, I might as well try someone elses'. Clicking on the buddies link to open your buddies list still works.

FollowThe buddy list helps you navigate your way around your friends rooms. When you click on the little running man you can follow them wherever they may be. Now, this only works if they are on your friend list and that they also allow you to see them online.

To continue, if you click the little green running man, you can go to their room. Though, you could just click their house icon, but I like using the little green running man whenever I can. I am nosey like that. >:D

When I tried this action during the TIME OUT error, it seemed to bypass it. My suspicions were also confirmed when I checked the Ameba PICO Facebook page. On the FB page many other people are having this issue, and so it is obvious it is NOT a user issue.

Now that you have some freedom back, what do you do?

You can see your gifts, get your daily gummy bonus, and you could also travel to some areas. Not all areas can be reached.

My testing the TRAVEL AREA icons you can figure out where you can or can't go.
Okay so... say you can't get into the fun areas. You can always have fun without traveling.

You could have a small party. Invite your friends to a room and chat about food, music, art, pets and etc. Have a food party, or even a prop party. :D

If you have more suggestions, post here! I'd love to hear them. Lets hope they fix the bug soon. Have some fun everyone!

**UPDATE**
Seems the fix is put in place. RUN! BE FREE!!! HAHAHAA!!!

Aurora-tan's Naturery Experience!

Hullo my PICO pals!

Have you ever felt like you are very disconnected from nature? I have felt that way often! In fact, I was feeling that way the other day when PICO released a new area to go to~

ALOHA HAWAII!

When I found out about the release, I immediately ran to my Pico Guide: Star Collection! (That's the little blue book that guides to all fun events in PICO! You can find it on the upper right corner of your screen.)

And just as I expected, there were new stars to unlock!

Wow! Two new stars!

The Pico Guide: Star Collection told me to check out the Sparkling Ocean! Well, this seemed like a perfect opportunity to become closer to the outdoors! So, we PICOfreaks went on a group vacation!

The minute we arrived I was dazzled by the sparkling sand, the roaring ocean, the calm warm breeze! This was truly paradise in nature!

Of course right away, we girls noticed a little shop! It's manned by a cool surfer named Ricky. Ricky sells bathing suits! (I believe they are different according to your gender!)

Too many to choose from!

We quickly chose our favorite pieces. After being properly attired, I gazed out at the ocean. I breathed deeply 3 times until I noticed that I was wearing an inner-tube! I guess Ricky throws in one for free when you buy a bathing suit.

Time to go swimming!

We plunged in the ocean with our new inner-tubes! The water was deliciously cold! For awhile we roamed around, looking for the friendly dolphin the Star Collection told us about. We saw lots of fish swimming around. Catmid loved the fish, and they seemed to love her too.

*nibble nibble

By floating in our inner-tubes, we made it to the island in the middle of the ocean. I quickly raced to the middle and noticed a hula-dancer! She was very cute and sold the very dance she was performing. Of course we all had to try out the new steps!

Can I have this dance? No, really, I want it!

After awhile, Catmid was investigating the other side of the island. Soon we heard her call to us. We all rushed over to see the commotion and . . .

We were enjoying a dance until . . .

A dolphin appeared! Soon there was a crowd of people waving to the ocean! The dolphin was very friendly and showed off in front of us. I was suddenly gripped with an intimate connection with the sea creature. Animals are no different than us, it seems . . .

Sigh, the wonders of nature . . .

Even after I returned from the vacation, I was very touched by all of the rawness of the ocean and her creatures. As I strolled down the boardwalk, I was suddenly presented with another specimen of nature.

Never under-estimate nature's many beauties!
(Wow, he is so hot!)

Hey PICO fans! It seems that Catmid brought her video camera with us on our vacation. (Where was she hiding it?)

Here is exclusive PICOfreaks footage of the dolphin sightings:

Enjoy! And until next time . . .

Shout Out: Catmid VIP!

Hey all! Just wanted to give a shout out to some more special PICOfriends who have become such lovely people to talk to! These are PICOfriends I've met exclusively through PICO and not through any other hobby. (Just in case you are one of my Blythe friends, I'm not ignoring you or anything) ;D

With these PICOfriends, we chat about PICO, work, friends, family and etc. Or we just have fun doing things in my home. There are also times we're all working at our day jobs and playing PICO at the same time.

CRAZY but true! :D

MARUKO
Friends
Maruko is such a sweet person! We have fun playing with our pets, sharing food or just being silly. I love it when she visits or if I see her at her home. We like to take advantage of the special events. Sometimes she likes to give me the inside scoop on things that happen on PIGG. WOO! What a wise PICOfriend. haha! Thank you for all your advice! xoxo

SHARPSHOCK
Friends
SharpShock is a kindred spirit! Living in the same state and enjoying all the benefits of that, we have much to talk about. That and playing PICO while we work is fun too. XD

RAYNA SKYE
Friends
She is our party girl. Always up for something fun and always having a new outfit on! Hilarious to talk to and great to share PICO stories with.

I also want to add that everyone that we meet on PICO has been so sweet and friendly. Our experience on there wouldn't be the same without you all.

HUZZAH fellow PICOfreaks!
Keep on having awesome PICOadventures!

Kaybear

This is Nyanko-san reporting in for duty!

Wow, what a crazy day! I was roaming through the pet farms and I stumbled upon the newest member of my family....kaybear! He's a super rare blue panda and he's very excited to join us!He's a little on the pampered side, but he also love to wander around and explore. Say hello if you ever bump into him :D
Kamechan was super ecstatic to have a new friend, so I took a family photo. It was pretty difficult though, since kaybear loves to move around and stretch. Pretty rare for a panda, since they're normally not that active.

Hehe, he's so rolly-polly!

So when I saw him, I didn't even think. My hands moved lightning fast and within seconds, he was mine. After I named him, I realized that he may have a bad personality. Immediately back in the room, I checked his stats, and thankfully, it's nothing serious. Goes to show how excited I was!

I'm included data on kamechan too, since I didn't get to post his stats last time.

Come to my room to visit me and my spiffy new friends! This is Nyanko-san, signing out.
