Aurora-tan's Family

Hi everyone! It's me, Aurora-tan!

Is everyone enjoying the new Thanksgiving Items in PICO? Let's share the thanks and give away lots of turkey!

Even thought food is delicious at Thanksgiving, I think spending time with family is a bit more important to me.

So let me introduce you to my very own family!

These are my parents, Joe-tan and Sylvie-tan! I think I look like both of them.

My mom loves to talk! I think I inherited this from her.
She has a friendly face that draws strangers into conversations with her.
She also has a temper, and can be very scary!

My dad is usually very quiet and so it's hard to tell what he's thinking.
He tells everything to my mom though.
He believes in hard work and is very proud of all of us.
He is also very frugal with his money, unlike my mother.

I have three siblings and we all look so different. There are two boys, and two girls in my family. The eldest of my siblings is my older brother Gio-tan. He's quite the mature one, too!

He likes to pick on me though! So sometimes, I think he's a jerk!
Still, we two are the closest siblings because we are only two years apart
.

Next oldest is me! I bet you already know a lot about me, so let's skip to my sister, Toya-tan. She's a few years younger than me and loves to watch movies. She wants to either become an actress or an elementary school teacher.

My sister is quite silly whenever she is tired. She giggles at everything.
She's also obsessed with Disneyland! But she is still my sweet little sister.

Last but not least is Manny-tan! He's the littlest of my siblings. He's very athletic and loves to play all sports, he's even on the baseball team. We both like to watch cartoons together. He's a bit of scardy-cat though, and won't watch scary movies.

My brother's favorite color is purple!
He also has a cell-phone already, which I still have to get used to.
They grow up so fast nowadays!

That's my entire family! Another thing I forgot to mention is that we all love FOOD! Which is why Thanksgiving is one of our favorite holidays!

I hope you and your family enjoy delicious food together during the holidays~

Aurora-tan's Matsuri!

Konnichiwa
my PICOfreaks! Have you been traveling to Japan in PICO?

Since it's summer, it's time for a matsuri! A matsuri is a type of local festival in Japan. It's a nice break from the hot day to go and celebrate with tons of fried food, fun carnival games, fireworks, and dancing! Grab your festival clothes and let's celebrate!

You can find the matsuri event on your Travel Screen!

The thing to wear in matsuri is the yukata! They're like lightweight kimonos! You can also buy happis (they make you happy!) from Shigeo-san at the matsuri.

What a cute pond! Shame I can't try to catch balloons for free!

There are so many different pattern yukatas at Shigeo-san's shop! Be prepared to part with hard-earned PICO gold! The best thing in the shop however, is the Japanese Bon dance! With this dance, you can properly dance during matsuri!

New wigs! I want to try them on!

The most noticeable thing at the matsuri is the giant yagura they built in the middle! According to tradition, you are supposed to dance around the yagura! Atop of the yagura you can see a very spirited taiko drum player! He's very loud!

That's a very tall yagura! Hello up there~

The taiko drum player reminded me of my brother, Gio-tan, who also plays taiko! Matsuri brought on so many nostalgic feelings for me.

Do you see the family resemblance?

I decided to dance around the yagura clock-wise facing away. Direction is very important when dancing. Some fun things to shout while dancing are: "a doshita!" ''a sore!'' "a yoisho!," and "sate!"

This dance is so cute!
I would love to see many Pico's dancing in a line.

While Shigeo-san's goods were mostly in PICO gold, there is a RO8O shop that sells sparklers for gummies! They come in different colors and are very pretty.

*sizzle*
A race against time!

There's a fun game in Japan where you race with friends to see whose sparkler lasts the longest. I like to make as wishes as I can on my sprinkler before it goes out. If I reach 20 wishes, then they all come true!

Aw shoot! Maybe next time.

After awhile, the matsuri winds down and becomes very quiet. Even though there weren't any fireworks at this matsuri, I had a lovely time gazing at the stars under the paper lanterns.

It's so romantic . . .

I hope all of you have fantastic fun at this summer's matsuri! I did! Be sure to collect cute souvenirs.

Oyasumi nasai!
(goodnight!)

Aurora-tan's Naturery Experience!

Hullo my PICO pals!

Have you ever felt like you are very disconnected from nature? I have felt that way often! In fact, I was feeling that way the other day when PICO released a new area to go to~

ALOHA HAWAII!

When I found out about the release, I immediately ran to my Pico Guide: Star Collection! (That's the little blue book that guides to all fun events in PICO! You can find it on the upper right corner of your screen.)

And just as I expected, there were new stars to unlock!

Wow! Two new stars!

The Pico Guide: Star Collection told me to check out the Sparkling Ocean! Well, this seemed like a perfect opportunity to become closer to the outdoors! So, we PICOfreaks went on a group vacation!

The minute we arrived I was dazzled by the sparkling sand, the roaring ocean, the calm warm breeze! This was truly paradise in nature!

Of course right away, we girls noticed a little shop! It's manned by a cool surfer named Ricky. Ricky sells bathing suits! (I believe they are different according to your gender!)

Too many to choose from!

We quickly chose our favorite pieces. After being properly attired, I gazed out at the ocean. I breathed deeply 3 times until I noticed that I was wearing an inner-tube! I guess Ricky throws in one for free when you buy a bathing suit.

Time to go swimming!

We plunged in the ocean with our new inner-tubes! The water was deliciously cold! For awhile we roamed around, looking for the friendly dolphin the Star Collection told us about. We saw lots of fish swimming around. Catmid loved the fish, and they seemed to love her too.

*nibble nibble

By floating in our inner-tubes, we made it to the island in the middle of the ocean. I quickly raced to the middle and noticed a hula-dancer! She was very cute and sold the very dance she was performing. Of course we all had to try out the new steps!

Can I have this dance? No, really, I want it!

After awhile, Catmid was investigating the other side of the island. Soon we heard her call to us. We all rushed over to see the commotion and . . .

We were enjoying a dance until . . .

A dolphin appeared! Soon there was a crowd of people waving to the ocean! The dolphin was very friendly and showed off in front of us. I was suddenly gripped with an intimate connection with the sea creature. Animals are no different than us, it seems . . .

Sigh, the wonders of nature . . .

Even after I returned from the vacation, I was very touched by all of the rawness of the ocean and her creatures. As I strolled down the boardwalk, I was suddenly presented with another specimen of nature.

Never under-estimate nature's many beauties!
(Wow, he is so hot!)

Hey PICO fans! It seems that Catmid brought her video camera with us on our vacation. (Where was she hiding it?)

Here is exclusive PICOfreaks footage of the dolphin sightings:

Enjoy! And until next time . . .

Aurora-tan's Dino Hunt!

Hi everyone! Aurora-tan is back! And this time I'm ready for an adventure of gigantic proportions!

I was looking through my PICO Guide: Star Collection. That's the little blue book that guides to all fun events in PICO! You can find it on the upper right corner of your screen. While I was looking, I saw one star I didn't have! It was labeled "Meet the Dinosaur!" When I clicked on it, I saw a nifty hint.

Tell me your secrets little snow-pico!

I immediately took off to the Stone Age to check it out. When I got there, I couldn't help but notice the giant footprints everywhere. I followed them, running as fast as I could.

Whose could they be?

Oh no! I was too late!

x_x

Ha ha, did I scare you? No, this wasn't the dinosaur the guide mentioned. Still, I was very surprised to see it too.
I looked around and noticed many shops. The most interesting one had a boogie-ing girl! I had to investigate.

Hm, a shop way out here?

Turns out, she sold actions! Actually only one action, Volcano Dance! This action proved to come in handy later. After I bought it, the shop keeper looked at me with challenge in her eyes! It was a dance off! I began to dance frantically!

Bring it on!

Suddenly, the ground rumbled! Everyone for miles ran close, excited to see dino action. But instead, we realized it was only the Volcano in the distance, erupting because of our dance.

We weren't discouraged however, we began to dance again. The rumblings got louder and more violent! We had at least ten people dancing with all their might!

Shake it!

Then it happened! He came! We all ran around in fear and excitement while our PICO Guides updated themselves. We all had new stars.

Yay! One step closer to completion~

The dinosaur was very ferocious! He was giant, with razor sharp claws and teeth. He seemed very grumpy.

Look at those giant feet!

As fast as he had come, he was gone! We all stood amazed, coughing in his dust.

Run out of the way! He's coming!

However, I am truly in awe of that great beast! It was such a marvelous experience, I urge you all to see him for yourselves. Remember, have at least ten friends dancing with you for him to show.

That's all for now PICO friends! Wait patiently till my next new discovery!

Aliens?!

Aurora-tan's Egyptian Adventure!

Hi there PICO-pals! It's me, Adventuring Aurora-tan! Now I'm not the one to pull on my safari boots whenever I see a zebra, but I heard about Catmid's awesome Egypt adventure so I had to have a taste of the fun!

The first thing I did was call my Travel Agent to book me a flight to an "exclusive" Egyptian Shine! Well, at first look, it didn't seem that exclusive.

So many tourists!

I approached the entrance and was immediately stopped by two ticket guys. I showed them a bit of leg though, and they let me through! Working out at the gym pays off!

Perhaps sexy?

I entered to what appeared to be a long, scary tunnel! It looked so cryptic with its ancient writing on the walls. I was immediately terrified!

This looks scary . . .

I ran as fast as I could down the hallway and came to two doors. I had minutes to decide which one to go through. I chose the right one!

Why am I so indecisive?!

Oh no! That door led me to a trick passage that brought me back to the beginning! I had to start all over again! I almost cried out of frustration!

No! Not again!

This time, I chose the left door. I found myself in a room . . . packed with tourists! It was so crowded I could barely move.

So crowded . . .

Ugh. I barely had enough strength to push over to the wall. I wanted to observe the hieroglyphics. They were indeed beautiful! However, it was so crowded and hot, I thought I might pass out!

They're so beautiful!

Suddenly, I heard gasps and whispers all around! Everyone moved closer to the sleeping Pharaoh's sarcophagus. The lid jiggled for a minute, then the casket opened. It was the king!

It moves! He lives!

To test my prowess, he showed me an ancient puzzle. Solving it was only too easy for a bookworm like me!

Fufufu!

Spoilers ahead!

Solved!

My prize was a chance to buy some treasures! I am a big owl lover so I purchased a lovely souvenir to bring home. Maybe my Travel Agent knew what he was doing after all!

Hooray, it's a beauty!

Happy adventuring everyone!
